Drake University joins OLH LPS model

We are extremely pleased to announce that Drake University has joined the Open Library of Humanities’ Library Partnership Subsidy system. Drake’s mission is to provide an exceptional learning environment that prepares students for meaningful personal lives, professional accomplishments, and responsible global citizenship. The Drake experience is distinguished by collaborative learning among students, faculty, and staff and by the integration of the liberal arts and sciences with professional preparation.

The Open Library of Humanities is an academic-led, gold open-access publisher with no author-facing charges. With funding from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the platform covers its costs by payments from an international library consortium, rather than any kind of author fee.

Dr. Martin Paul Eve, a founder and academic project director of the OLH, welcomed Drake University: “I am delighted that Drake has joined the OLH LPS model. The OLH model is designed to help universities achieve a transition to OA in the humanities disciplines and, with the help of institutions like Drake, we will expand our platform.”
