Statement of interest.

“During my time at Birkbeck I have been a keen supporter of open access. I have been a member of the Open Access Working Group since its inception. Several years ago, I took a mandate to the Research Committee for Birkbeck researchers to deposit a copy of their journal articles in the institutional repository, BIROn. Both the institutional repository manager and the research data manager work within Library Services and are strong advocates for open access. I have followed the development of the Open Library of Humanities with interest over the years and have seen it grow from small beginnings into an important player in the field of open access. I am very proud of its associations with Birkbeck.”
