Applications are now open for German journals to join the OLH

As part of the OLH-DE project, the Open Library of Humanities seeks applications from subscription-based German journals to expand its portfolio. The OLH-DE project is a collaborative project between the University of Konstanz and the Open Library of Humanities which seeks to further promote the Open Library of Humanities in Germany. The project was launched in 2018 with funding from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research of Germany.

We welcome applications from journals interested in flipping to gold open-access without author-facing charges that meet the following requirements:

Are peer reviewed.

Have been established for at least five years.

Are currently funded through a subscription model.

Are based in a humanities discipline, as self-defined by authors and editors.

Have an international editorial board.

German must at least be one of their publication languages

In addition, we have a preference for journals that are owned by a learned society.

If your journal meets the above requirements and would like to get further information on how to transform your peer-reviewed German-language journal, please contact Dr Anja Oberländer at the University of Konstanz (anja.oberlaender@uni-konstanz.de) or Prof Martin Eve, Co-Director of the Open Library of Humanities (martin.eve@openlibhums.org).
