The OLH is looking for an outstanding Editorial Officer with excellent organisation and communication skills for a remote role. This remote working role offers a rare and exciting opportunity to become part of an outstanding team for an award-winning open-access academic publisher, The Open Library of Humanities.

The post-holder’s main role will be to oversee editorial processes at the academic journals published by the Open Library of Humanities (OLH) and to provide technical support to our hosted clients. This will include liaising with external journals, editors, authors, and peer reviewers, and answering queries about editorial and production matters. The role will also require contact with external suppliers for typesetting and production services, copyediting and proofreading duties for the OLH journal and editorial assistance as required by the Managing Editor. 

The ideal candidate will be an independent worker with outstanding problem-solving skills and a strong record of professional communications, ideally with a postgraduate degree in a humanities subject. She/he will also possess the ability to use, or learn to use, a range of peer-review software systems, and to work collaboratively and supportively as part of a team.
