Penn State University joins OLH LPS model

We are extremely pleased to announce that Penn State University has joined the Open Library of Humanities’ Library Partnership Subsidy system. With over $800 million in annual research expenditures, Penn State ranks among the top 20 U.S. research universities, and is one of only two institutions in the nation accorded land grant, sea grant, sun grant, and space grant status.
The Open Library of Humanities is an academic-led, gold open-access publisher with no author-facing charges. With funding from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the platform covers its costs by payments from an international library consortium, rather than any kind of author fee.
Professor Martin Paul Eve, a founder and academic project director of the OLH, welcomed Penn State University: “I am truly delighted that Penn State University has joined the OLH model. Open access benefits all kinds of research and researchers and with the help of institutions like Penn State, we will continue to expand our model.”
